The strengths of the SFC
Supported by a complete LC2M integrated structure for physico-chemical and microstructural analyzes, test laboratory for finished products, support for R&D developments and regulatory and technological monitoring service, SFC’s Expertise service has specific staff and material resources to assess the nature and causes of a failure.
The analyzed coatings
Technical referent, SFC has diversified means to analyze the pathologies of various coatings:
- Ceramic products: tiles, terracotta, sanitaryware products…

SFC adapts its investigations to the pathologies encountered on a wide range of requests:
- Wear or abrasion phenomena

- Coating breakage / cracking

SFC’s tests are carried out independently according to French, European or international standards or regulations, or according to specifications defined with its customers.
The quality approach
SFC has a number of labels, approvals and recognitions that testify its professionalism and its involvement in Research and Innovation. In particular, it has the agreement “Crédit impôt recherche” (CIR) Research Tax Credit, with a doubling of the tax base calculation.
SFC also possesses a quality management system that meets the requirements to the NF EN ISO 17025 standard.
SFC is thus Cofrac Essais, n°1-0062 accredited (scope available on www.cofrac.fr) according to the NF EN ISO 17025 standard. Its accreditation relates to:
- Floors and wall and floor coverings (ceramic tiles and slabs, etc.)
- Sanitarywares (WC bowls and tanks, glazed surfaces, etc.)
- The aptitude for food contact of different materials
